Explorations in Math is dedicated to helping elementary students succeed in math. We firmly believe that all students can be successful in math if teachers, parents, school staff and administrators work together to assist and inspire students to help them see and appreciate the math in their daily activities, in potential careers and in the natural environment. Doing so requires more than providing specific programs or curriculum guides. It requires creating a cultural change within society – a culture in which arithmetic is equally important as reading and writing and one in which mathematical competency is considered as important as literacy.
